The skateboards will be taken on Cinta Costera 3 this Saturday 27 with the celebration of the First Valid of the National Circuit in dispute of the Skateboarding Cup, organized by the Panamanian Association of Skating and the support of the National Government through the Panamanian Institute of Sports (Pandeportes ) And the Ministry of the Presidency of the National Secretariat for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency.
In a press conference, all the information was offered, with the presence of the president of the Panamanian Association of Skating, Manuel Salazar and Harold Tomilson, president of the Commission of Skatebording, body endorsed by the federative entity, protected under the regulations of Pandeportes and The Olympic Committee of Panama (COP).
Tomilson, in charge of the organization of this event, said that Skateboarding has more than 25 years of being in the streets, buildings and parks of Panama, but practiced by young people who have taken this sport to show their skills, but nothing rebellious.
He emphasized that with this first event of three that are scheduled this year at the skatepark track installed in Cinta Costera 3 will take this sport of skateboards to the competitive level, so that in this first circuit will participate the 40 best in the country, all adults.
He explained that there will be competitions in the bowl and street specialties for the facilities provided by the track installed in the Cinta Costera 3 and that the event will start from 9 in the morning with the qualifiers and from 10 the final tests.
Salazar highlighted the expansion of skateboarding worldwide and the projection that has as a competitive sport to be considered by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to enter the program for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan in 2020, so this is important Type of activity in Panama.
Las patinetas se tomarán la Cinta Costera 3 este sábado 27 con la celebración de la Primera Válida del Circuito Nacional en disputa de la Copa Skateboarding, organizado por la Asociación Panameña de Patinaje y el respaldo del Gobierno Nacional por medio del Instituto Panameño de Deportes (Pandeportes) y el Ministerio de la Presidencia de la Secretaría Nacional para la Prevención de la Delincuencia Juvenil.
En conferencia de prensa se ofreció toda la información, contando con la presencia del presidente de la Asociación Panameña de Patinaje, Manuel Salazar y Harold Tomilson, presidente de la Comisión de Skatebording, organismo avalado por el ente federativo, amparado bajo las reglamentaciones de Pandeportes y el Comité Olímpico de Panamá (COP).
Tomilson encagado de la organización de este evento, señaló que el Skateboarding tiene más de 25 años de estar en las calles, edificios y parques de Panamá, pero practicado por jóvenes que han tomado este deporte para mostrar sus habilidades, pero nada de rebeldía.
Destacó que con este primer evento de tres que tienen programados en este año en la pista del skatepark instalado en la Cinta Costera 3 llevarán este deporte de las patinetas al nivel competitivo, por lo que en este primer circuito participarán los 40 mejores del país, todos mayores de edad.
Explicó que se celebrarán competencias en las especialidades de bowl y street por las facilidades que brinda la pista instalada en la Cinta Costera 3 y que el evento iniciará desde las 9 de la mañana con las eliminatorias y desde las 10 las pruebas finales.
Salazar resaltó la expansión del skateboarding a nivel mundial y la proyección que tiene como deporte competitivo al ser considerado por el Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI) para ingresar al programa para los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio, Japón en el 2020, por lo que es importante este tipo de actividad en Panamá.
