The 3rd edition of the international fashion and film festival was announced: Panama Fashion Film Festival, to be held on October 19 and 20 at W Panamá, Panama City.
In an exclusive Get Together in La Cajita of W Panama, the first details of this fusion of fashion with the seventh art were announced, the first to take place throughout Central America and which has become a must for art lovers.
With a two-day program, the festival will offer the public a sample of short films, documentaries, performances and installations of maximum global avant-garde that involve fashion from different points of view.
«In a short time, fashion films have become the key tool that brands use to sell their products. In fact, a film today generates a unique interest and even more often than the same product, «says Elías Jimenez, director and founder of the Panama Fashion Film Festival.
Designed to promote the use of new formats in fashion communication and empower local talent such as designers, models, audiovisual producers, stylists, creatives, photographers, among others. The festival, as an initiative of the For People Foundation, is already consolidated as a world reference in the fashion film genre, thus strengthening the fashion and film industries.
«The fashion film is a genre so revolutionary that today we see in the main fashion capitals in the world and in more than 60 cities that are held counterpart festivals» said Marie Claire Fontaine de Bueno, producer of the Panama Fashion Film Festival and who stands out for her tireless work towards the growth of the fashion industry in Panama, at the head of Fashion Week Panama and the PHYSICAL modeling agency.
Calls to Audiovisual Producers.
All professionals and amateurs who wish to apply with their pieces are invited to be screened at the Panama Fashion Film Festival that they apply sending their work of a minimum duration of 3 minutes, to the email: submissions@panamafff.com
The call will remain open until September 30, 2018. All the short films will be reviewed by the production team and a jury that will determine the works that will be screened at the festival.

Ya fue anunciada la 3era edición del festival internacional de moda y cine: Panama Fashion Film Festival, a llevarse a cabo el19 y 20 de octubre en el W Panamá, ciudad de Panamá.
En un exclusivo Get Together en La Cajita del W Panama, se anunciaron los primeros detalles de esta fusión de la moda con el séptimo arte, el primero en realizarse en toda Centroamérica y que se ha convertido en la cita obligada para los apasionados del arte.
Con un programa de dos días, el festival ofrecerá al público una muestra de cortometrajes, documentales, performances e instalaciones de máxima vanguardia global que involucran la moda desde diversos puntos de vista.
“En poco tiempo los fashion films se han convertido en la herramienta clave que usan las marcas para vender sus productos. De hecho, un film hoy en día genera un interés único e incluso en muchas ocasiones más que el mismo producto” asegura Elías Jimenez director y fundador de Panama Fashion Film Festival.
Ideado para promover el uso de nuevos formatos en la comunicación de moda y potenciar a talentos locales como diseñadores, modelos, productores audiovisuales, stylists, creativos, fotógrafos, entre otros. El festival, como iniciativa de For People Foundation, ya está consolidado como un referente mundial en el género del fashion film, fortaleciendo así las industrias de la moda y el cine.

Convocatorias a Productores Audiovisuales.
Se invita a todos los profesionales y amateurs que deseen aplicar con sus piezas para ser proyectadas en el Panama Fashion Film Festival que apliquen enviando sus trabajos de una duración mínima de 3 minutos, al correo electrónico: submissions@panamafff.com
La convocatoria permanecerá abierta hasta el próximo 30 de septiembre de 2018. Todos los cortometrajes serán revisados por el equipo de producción y un jurado que determinará los trabajos que se proyectarán en el festival.
