From the 21st of this month, the 11th Icaro Panamá 2018 Film Festival will take place, which will take place in the provinces of Panama, Colón, Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro and Coclé.

In a press conference, details of the event were announced, this year, offers 20 films from 10 countries, four didactic talks, a round table and two workshops, and is the only film event that presents the best of Central American cinema in our country .

In addition, a selection of relevant international productions, which contributes to give diversity and more cinephile entertainment options to our audience and our own filmmakers opportunities for training, updating and growth. The headquarters in Panama will be the University Cinema.

At the main table were organizers and main sponsors, such as the Vice Rector for Extension of the University of Panama, Denis Chávez; the Director of the Directorate General of Cinema of the MICI, Essie Mastellari; the Deputy Director of the Metropolitan Capital of Culture of the Mayor’s Office of Panama, Mariel García and the Festival’s producer and President of the FAE Foundation, Roberto Enrique King.

Festival de Cine Icaro Panamá 2018

A partir del 21 de este mes se llevará a cabo el 11° Festival de Cine Icaro Panamá 2018, evebto que tendrá lugar en las provincias de Panamá, Colón, Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro y Coclé.

En una conferencia de prensa, se anunciaronlos detaes del evento que, este año, ofrece 20 películas de 10 países, cuatro charlas didácticas, una mesa redonda y dos talleres, y es el único evento cinematográfico que presenta en nuestro país lo mejor del cine centroamericano.

Además, una selección de relevantes producciones internacionales, con lo que aporta a dar diversidad y más opciones de entretenimiento cinéfilo a nuestro público y a nuestros propios cineastas oportunidades de formación, actualización y crecimiento. La sede en Panamá será el Cine Universitario.

En la mesa principal estuvieron organizadores y patrocinadores principales, tales como el Vicerrector de Extensión de la Universidad de Panamá, Denis Chávez; la Directora de la Dirección General de Cine del MICI, Essie Mastellari; la Subdirectora de Capital Metropolitana de la Cultura de la Alcaldía de Panamá, Mariel García y el productor del Festival y Presidente de la Fundación FAE, Roberto Enrique King.
